State law requires crypto kiosk operators to reimburse fraud victims within 30 days of reporting scams.
Arizona’s crypto ATM law has reimbursed 35 scam victims a total of $171,332 since taking effect in September 2025. The measure mandates full refunds, including fees, for qualifying new customers who report fraud within 30 days.
Under House Bill 2387, operators must refund transactions if victims notify both the operator and law enforcement promptly. New customers face a $2,000 daily transaction cap, compared to $10,500 for existing users.
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office urged residents to report scams immediately to meet the 30-day deadline for eligibility.
