Apple’s shares hit a session high of $342.89, pushing its market value to $5.036 trillion before settling at $4.96 trillion.
Apple briefly reached a $5.036 trillion market capitalization on Tuesday, becoming the second company to cross the $5 trillion threshold after Nvidia. Shares peaked at $342.89 before closing at $337.7, valuing the company at $4.96 trillion.
Nvidia had been the first to breach $5 trillion earlier this year and held the top spot until Apple overtook it this month. Apple’s rally has been fueled by strong iPhone demand and strategic pricing, avoiding heavy AI infrastructure spending that has pressured rivals.
The company also launched a U.S. leasing program through Klarna, offering iPhones starting at $17.99 per month to sustain demand ahead of expected price hikes.
