AAPL introduces a leasing option for devices, reducing upfront costs with monthly payments starting at $17.99 for iPhones.
Apple has rolled out a leasing program, Apple Upgrade, allowing consumers to lease iPhones and other devices for as low as $17.99 per month. The program replaces traditional purchase plans and offers 12- or 24-month leases, with Apple Watches available for up to 36 months.
Lease payments can be reduced through trade-ins, and the program is facilitated by Klarna, which conducts a soft credit pull. For example, an iPhone 17 Pro 256GB priced at $1,099 would cost $31.99 monthly for 24 months or $45.99 for 12 months. Entry-level products like the iPhone 16 and MacBook Neo are excluded.
The program aims to make Apple devices more accessible by spreading costs over time, though it does not include all product models.
