Annaly Capital Management raises quarterly dividend to $0.75 after earnings available for distribution climb to $0.76 per share.
Annaly Capital Management increased its quarterly dividend to $0.75 per share from $0.70, marking its second hike in 18 months. The move follows a rebound in earnings available for distribution, which rose to $0.76 per share from a low of $0.64 in early 2024.
The increase reverses a trend of prior dividend cuts and reflects improved performance in Annaly’s diversified housing finance portfolio. The REIT’s CEO cited strong portfolio performance and a focus on shareholder value as key drivers behind the decision.
Annaly’s yield now stands at 12.5%, while rival Starwood Property Trust offers an 11.6% yield. Both REITs remain among the largest in their respective mortgage investment sectors.
