American Pacific Mining has initiated drill testing of a newly identified magnetotelluric (MT) anomaly at its Madison copper-gold project in Montana. The anomaly spans 2km in length and 600m in width, with drilling planned to reach depths of 800m.

The target is a substantial conductive zone located near the Silver Star fault corridor, an area previously undrilled. The anomaly aligns with structural features thought to influence mineralizing fluid movement, potentially indicating sulfide-rich mineralization or hydrothermal alteration.

The company’s MT inversion survey revealed a highly conductive core within the anomaly, suggesting possible connectivity between deeper and shallower zones. This could point to carbonate replacement or skarn-related mineralization.
