Amazon’s Leo satellite broadband project signs partnerships with Delta and Apple, targeting a $35.7 billion market by 2033.

Amazon’s satellite broadband unit, Leo, has signed deals with Delta Airlines for in-flight Wi-Fi and Apple for iPhones and Apple Watches. The service, yet to launch, aims to compete with SpaceX’s Starlink, which reported $11.4 billion in 2025 sales and operates 9,600 satellites.

Amazon currently has over 250 satellites in orbit, with 20 more launches planned this year. The global satellite broadband market is projected to grow at a 15.1% annual rate, reaching $35.7 billion by 2033, according to Grand View Research.

The partnerships highlight Amazon’s push into connectivity, adding a potential revenue stream beyond its core e-commerce and cloud businesses.
