Amazon spends $11.4 billion on European warehouse robotics
Amazon is investing at least €10 billion to modernize its European fulfillment network with robots.
The company is developing various robots, including Proteus and Vulcan, to improve its warehouse operations.
Symbotic, a developer of autonomous warehouse robots, may be affected by Amazon’s expansion. It has a contract with Walmart to automate its US regional distribution centers by 2034.
Symbotic claims a $50 million investment in its modules can generate $250 million in savings over 25 years.
