Alphabet Inc reported second-quarter earnings of $9.11 per share, crushing the $2.88 estimate, as revenue rose to $119.8 billion against a $117.00 billion forecast. Operating income reached $40.77 billion, slightly above expectations, while capital expenditure hit $44.92 billion, exceeding the $44.15 billion estimate.

Google Cloud revenue surged to $24.77 billion, up from the $22.46 billion forecast, reflecting strong AI-driven demand. The Gemini app now boasts 950 million monthly active users, signaling growing adoption of Alphabet’s AI tools. Advertising and YouTube performance also outperformed, underscoring resilience in core revenue streams.

The results highlight Alphabet’s ability to monetize AI investments, though higher capex may raise near-term margin concerns among investors.
