The aircraft lessor increased full-year earnings guidance after reporting robust lease extensions and $1.4 billion in asset sales.

AerCap Holdings raised its full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $16.80, up from prior expectations, driven by an 85% lease extension rate for passenger aircraft and $1.4 billion in asset sales with a 20% gain-on-sale margin.

The company cited a persistent supply-demand imbalance in the aircraft market, with fewer retirements than pre-COVID levels supporting long-term demand. Asset sales for the year are projected to reach $4 billion to $5 billion, reflecting strong secondary market liquidity.

Management attributed outperformance to elevated net maintenance contributions, though these are expected to normalize in the second half of the year. The company also secured scarce Boeing 787 delivery positions, balancing $1.5 billion in shareholder returns with strategic investments.
