AbbVie buys Apogee for $10.9 billion to expand immunology portfolio
AbbVie will acquire Apogee Therapeutics in an all-cash transaction valued at $10.9 billion.
The acquisition adds a pipeline of clinical-stage therapies for inflammatory and immunological diseases.
Apogee’s lead asset, zumilokibart, is being developed for atopic dermatitis and showed significant skin clearance in Phase 2 results.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory clearances and approval by Apogee shareholders.
