The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Trust disclosed a $180 million stake in FedEx Freight Holding (FDXF) in its Q2 2026 13F filing. The purchase includes 1.19 million shares at approximately $135.73 per share, marking one of the first major investments in the newly public company.

FedEx Freight, spun off as an independent entity on June 1, 2026, operates in less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping, handling industrial and commercial freight. The trust’s portfolio totals $34.42 billion, with existing holdings in Berkshire Hathaway, Caterpillar, and Canadian National Railway.

The filing also reveals a broader FedEx position valued at $746.6 million, underscoring the trust’s bet on the backbone of U.S. logistics and freight infrastructure.
