Industrial output, retail sales, and fixed-asset investment figures will gauge Q3 economic momentum amid delayed timing concerns.

China will release July economic data, including industrial output, retail sales, and fixed-asset investment, at 0700 GMT, a shift from the usual schedule. The delay coincides with the close of domestic stock markets and potential ministry remarks, raising speculation about strategic timing.

Industrial production is expected to slow to 4.8% year-on-year in July from 5.3% in June, while fixed-asset investment may decline further to -6.0% from -5.7%. Retail sales, however, are forecast to show resilience at 1.5% growth.

The unusual timing has sparked questions about whether authorities aim to mitigate market reactions or align the release with policy communications.
