Alphabet’s $174 billion operating cash flow positions it as a key player in high-capital AI infrastructure investments.

Baron Opportunity Fund increased its stake in Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) during Q2 2026, citing the company’s strategic advantage in artificial intelligence. Alphabet closed at $342.37 per share on August 12, 2026, with a market capitalization of $4.19 trillion.

The fund highlighted Alphabet’s $174 billion in trailing operating cash flow, which supports its ability to compete in the capital-intensive AI sector. Shares posted a 67.98% gain over the past year but declined 3.23% in the last month.

Alphabet’s portfolio, including Google Cloud and DeepMind, reinforces its leadership in AI research and digital advertising. The fund noted developments at Google I/O 2026 as further validation of its investment thesis.
