Israel’s largest bank reports higher earnings per share and steady return on equity for the second quarter of 2024.
Bank Leumi le-Israel B.M. posted a Q2 GAAP earnings per share of NIS1.92, up from the prior period. The bank’s return on equity reached 16.3%, slightly above the 16.2% recorded in the same quarter last year.
Excluding a special tax on banks, ROE climbed to 17.9% for the quarter. The results reflect stable profitability amid ongoing economic conditions in Israel.
