TRON’s USDT supply reached $87.9 billion in Q2 2026, while transaction volumes totaled $2.1 trillion, according to a quarterly report. The surge in activity lifted network fees by 15.9% to $699.4 million, ending a two-quarter decline following an August 2025 governance change that reduced energy costs.

Despite the fee growth, other metrics showed mixed results. DeFi total value locked (TVL) fell 1.9% to $4.4 billion, and average daily DEX volume dropped 21.7% to $49.3 million, marking a fourth straight quarterly decline. TRX supply remained inflationary, with circulating tokens increasing by 87 million as issuance outpaced burns.

Institutional adoption expanded during the quarter. Securitize launched a $4.3 million tokenized fund on TRON, while Grayscale added TRX to its watchlist. Exchanges including Bitnomial and OKX Europe also introduced new TRX trading products, signaling broader market access.
