Memory chipmakers lock in record contracts as AI-driven demand drives DRAM and NAND prices sharply higher through 2026.
Micron Technology and SanDisk have secured long-term supply agreements totaling nearly $100 billion, shielding revenue from memory market volatility. Micron’s remaining performance obligations surged from $5 billion to $100 billion after signing 16 strategic customer deals post-quarter close.
DRAM contract prices climbed 93%–98% in Q1 2026, with Q2 projections at 58%–63%, according to TrendForce. NAND flash prices also remain elevated as global supply lags AI-driven demand, with shortages expected to persist beyond 2030.
Both companies are leveraging the memory boom to stabilize earnings amid cyclical industry risks, positioning themselves as key suppliers for AI infrastructure.
