The iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) climbed 12.6% in June, extending its 2026 gain to 88%, according to market data. The rally reflected broad-based strength across the sector, not just Nvidia’s $4.7 trillion market cap influence.

The ETF tracks the NYSE Semiconductor Index, which caps individual holdings at 8% to prevent overconcentration. As of July 2, Micron Technology and Advanced Micro Devices each held slightly over 8%, while Nvidia accounted for 7.5%. Intel represented 6.2% of the fund.

Performance was driven by capital-spending plays like Applied Materials and KLA, alongside gains from Intel and Micron. Nvidia and Broadcom saw declines, highlighting the ETF’s diversified exposure.
