Former Intel architect Raja Koduri’s startup raises $35 million to develop licensable GPU and AI chip designs.
Oxmiq Labs raised $35 million in a Series A funding round, increasing its total capital to $60 million. The round was co-led by Fundomo and Samsung Catalyst Fund, with investments from MediaTek, Pegatron Venture Capital, and other strategic backers.
The company, founded by ex-Intel chief architect Raja Koduri, aims to reduce costs for AI chip development by offering licensable GPU and AI chip architecture. Traditional AI chip design requires significant investment, often exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars and years of development.
Oxmiq’s core product, OxCore, integrates GPU, tensor processing, and central processor engines into a single licensable block. The company also provides OxQuilt, a chiplet integration architecture compatible with various foundries and memory types.
