The deal expands La Doria’s production capacity and customer base in Italy’s tomato processing sector for industrial and foodservice channels.
Italian food group La Doria has acquired Solana, a B2B tomato supplier, to strengthen its position in the tomato category. Solana generated €90m in revenue for the year ending June 2025, with tomato processing accounting for 90% of its business.
Solana operates three production plants in Italy and serves a diversified industrial customer base. The acquisition aligns with La Doria’s strategy to enhance geographic and production diversification, though financial terms remain undisclosed.
La Doria, backed by private-equity group Investindustrial, aims to leverage Solana’s premium positioning to expand its footprint in the foodservice and manufacturing sectors.
