Gerresheimer Posts €318.7m Net Loss for 2025 on €521.5m Charges

Non-cash impairments and restructuring costs drove the packaging maker to a full-year loss despite revenue growth to €2.3bn.

Gerresheimer reported a consolidated net loss of €318.7m in 2025, reversing an adjusted net income of €84.3m in 2024. The loss stemmed from €521.5m in non-cash depreciation, amortisation, and impairments, alongside €71.8m in restructuring costs. Impairments were tied to technology projects, goodwill, and U.S. glass assets.

Group revenue rose 16.6% to €2.3bn from €1.9bn, boosted by the consolidation of Bormioli Pharma. Adjusted EBITDA dipped slightly to €384m from €388m. The Plastics & Devices unit led growth, while Primary Packaging Glass saw demand decline for cosmetic and oral liquid packaging.

No dividend will be paid for 2025 due to the net loss. Bormioli Pharma contributed €167m to Plastics & Devices revenue, which reached €1.3bn.
