Private equity firm CVC takes full control of Clevertech, retaining family as minority shareholder and existing leadership team.
CVC Capital Partners agreed to acquire Clevertech, an Italian industrial automation and packaging systems provider, from the Reggiani family. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, with CVC investing via its Capital Partners IX fund.
Clevertech, founded in 1987, reported €236m ($269.1m) in revenue and over €70m in EBITDA for 2025. The company employs more than 450 specialists and supplies automated packaging equipment for industrial use. The Reggiani family will reinvest as a minority shareholder through its holding company, REFA.
Current leadership remains intact, with founder Giuseppe Reggiani continuing as chairman and CEO. The deal aims to accelerate growth amid evolving market challenges, according to Reggiani.
