Zymeworks will pay $17 per share to expand its portfolio with Theravance’s COPD treatment YUPELRI, generating $60M annually.
Zymeworks will acquire Theravance Biopharma in an all-cash transaction valued at $929M, offering $17 per share. The deal aims to bolster Zymeworks’ commercial portfolio with YUPELRI, a treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
YUPELRI currently generates approximately $60M in annualized revenue. The acquisition aligns with Zymeworks’ strategy to diversify its pipeline and strengthen its respiratory disease segment.
