Apple has urged the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to dismiss antitrust findings, arguing investigators copied rivals’ allegations without independent analysis. The company contests claims of abusive conduct on its iOS platform and mandatory payment system requirements, calling the conclusions flawed.

The CCI’s 2024 report accused Apple of anti-competitive behavior, aligning with complaints from Match Group and local startups. Apple countered that its smartphone market share in India remains under 6%, labeling itself a minor player. The company warned that imposed remedies could disrupt its App Store model and deter digital investments.

Regulators have not responded to Apple’s submission, nor has the company commented publicly. The dispute highlights tensions between global tech firms and Indian authorities over market practices.
