Eli Lilly will launch its oral weight-loss drug in Europe and Britain in the second half of 2026 or early 2027. The company aims to leverage telehealth partnerships and e-commerce platforms to reach patients paying out of pocket, following its US strategy.

Regulatory approvals will precede the launch, with plans to pursue public reimbursement where possible. Uncertainty remains over the impact of the US “most-favoured-nation” drug pricing policy, which could affect pricing for new medicines.

The company signed a deal with the Trump administration last year to provide MFN pricing, committing to align reimbursed prices with its interpretation of the policy. Expansion into direct-to-patient channels reflects lessons from its US market entry.
