Major U.S. indexes recovered from early declines as tech stocks stabilized, with the Dow and S&P 500 posting modest gains.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 reversed early losses to close slightly higher, rising 0.1% as trading progressed. Technology stocks, which led a global sell-off earlier, showed signs of stabilization by mid-session.
The Nasdaq remained under pressure, trading below its 50-day moving average, while Micron Technology (MU), Nvidia (NVDA), and Sandisk (SNDK) were among the session’s notable decliners. Earlier in the week, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq had also slipped below key technical levels.
Market focus shifted to earnings reports, with Micron’s results drawing attention after the chipmaker posted stronger-than-expected gains in its latest quarterly update.
