Bernstein increased its price target for AMD to $600 from $525, citing a shift in AI infrastructure that elevates the role of server CPUs. The firm now projects the 2030 server CPU market at $223 billion, up from $137 billion, driven by agentic AI workloads requiring more general-purpose computing.
AMD’s EPYC processors, previously a secondary business, could become central to its AI growth strategy. Bernstein’s note highlights a “CPU renaissance” as data centers expand, positioning AMD to capitalize on broader AI spending beyond GPUs.
The firm maintained an Outperform rating on AMD, emphasizing its competitive edge in server CPUs as a differentiator against rivals like Nvidia.
