Uber Technologies (UBER) and WeRide (WRD) will debut Spain’s first commercial robotaxi pilot in the Region of Madrid, their inaugural joint venture in Europe. The collaboration marks a strategic expansion into the European market for both companies.
This initiative is the fourth of 15 cities targeted under WeRide’s broader rollout plan. The companies previously focused on markets in Asia and North America, with Madrid serving as a key entry point for European operations.
