Nexteq’s Densitron has secured a contract to supply customised display solutions for an electric delivery vehicle programme, in a move that marks its entry into the automotive market.
The order comes from a new customer described by the company as a “leading” supplier of automotive electronics
In a stock exchange filing, Nexteq said the project includes tailored display engineering and specification refinement to meet the customer’s display and interface requirements. Production is expected to begin in the second half of fiscal 2026. The company said volumes are likely to “materially increase” over the following three years as the customer expands its product rollout.
Nexteq said the design win shows Densitron’s ability to turn its engineering expertise into customised, higher-value solutions. It added that the programme broadens the group’s exposure across industrial markets while extending its presence into the automotive sector. Nexteq CEO Duncan Faithfull said: “This order is a strong demonstration of Densitron’s ability to deliver tailored engineering solutions that address customers’ specific technical requirements, enabling them to focus on their own product differentiation while outsourcing critical technology development and production to Densitron with confidence. “This new customer diversifies our end-market exposure and supports our strategy of growing revenue across a broader range of industrial vertical markets through higher-quality, differentiated technology solutions. “Importantly, this provides a clear pathway to increasing production volumes as the customer moves towards mass production, creating a platform for future revenue growth in the automotive and transportation sector, and a potentially meaningful, long-term customer relationship.” Nexteq operates through two brands, Quixant and Densitron, and has operations in six countries, serving more than 500 customers globally.
