Indirect tax and compliance technology company Vertex has made three senior appointments to its leadership team as it prepares for its next stage of expansion.
Chatelle Lynch has joined as chief people officer (CPO) at the company, while Carlos Mercuriali has been named senior vice-president and regional manager for Europe
The company also announced that Bala Chandran takes up the role of chief product and technology officer. Lynch has more than 20 years of experience in organisational strategy and transformation-led businesses. She previously held CPO positions at the RealReal and McAfee.
At Vertex, she will oversee the company’s global people and culture strategy, with responsibility for talent and organisational preparedness. Mercuriali has more than two decades of international leadership experience across the US, Latin America, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His background includes working on enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS), tax and compliance technology, and cloud software.
