UK-based sports-nutrition business Applied Nutrition said today (26 August) its underlying annual earnings are set to come in above market expectations.
In a trading update, the food-and-drinks group said its board expects its “adjusted EBITDA to be ahead of consensus market expectations” for the 2026 financial year, increasing by 40% year-on-year to approximately £43.3m ($58.9m)
The figure excludes the impact of the acquisition of assets from US-based sports nutrition manufacturer Nutrablend Group, a deal announced in June. City analysts were forecasting Applied Nutrition’s adjusted EBITDA for the year to the end of July would come in at £42m. The company also said today it expects its revenue for the year will grow 50% to £160m, ahead of a market forecast of £148.4m.
Applied Nutrition said today trading from 1 June had remained “strong with sustained demand across the group’s markets and channels”. For the year ending July 2027, the company expects adjusted EBITDA of about £49m, representing growth of 13%, against consensus of £47.7m. Revenue for the year is projected at roughly £205m, beating market forecasts of £186.2m, it said.
