Bitcoin (BTC) climbed to $81,235.03 on Tuesday, marking its first breach of $80,000 in over three months. The rally follows the U.S. Treasury Department’s decision to double its long-term bond-buying program, boosting liquidity in financial markets.

Earlier on Wednesday, BTC opened at $78,528.41, slightly lower than Tuesday’s open, but rose to $78,585.58 by 8:25 a.m. ET. Ethereum (ETH) also gained, moving from $2,442.30 to $2,469.90 in the same period, though it opened 1.6% lower than the previous day.

Analysts suggest the rally may extend further, with projections of BTC reaching $150K by mid-2027 and potentially $500K by 2029 if institutional adoption accelerates. A base-case forecast sees bitcoin hitting $1 million by 2033.
