The fintech launches EURR, a €1-pegged token, via its app to selected customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal.
Revolut has initiated a phased launch of EURR, a stablecoin pegged to the euro, targeting selected customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The token, valued at €1, is integrated into Revolut’s retail app, enabling on-chain euro-to-crypto transactions for users.
EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a Luxembourg-licensed entity owned by Stripe following a $1.1 billion acquisition in 2024. Revolut acts as the distributor, with Bridge managing the reserves. The fintech plans broader EEA availability and additional currency-denominated stablecoins later this year.
The move marks Revolut’s first concrete step in its stablecoin strategy, announced over a year ago. EURR operates on multiple blockchains and supports external wallets, aligning with the company’s push into digital asset infrastructure.
