ZCSH becomes the first exchange-traded product offering spot Zcash exposure following a critical vulnerability patch in the privacy coin’s system.

Grayscale’s spot Zcash ETF, trading under the ticker ZCSH, launched Tuesday on NYSE Arca, converting a nine-year-old private placement into an exchange-traded product. The fund provides investors with Zcash exposure without requiring direct token ownership or storage.

The product originated as the Grayscale Zcash Trust in October 2017 and was approved for conversion to an ETF in November. Its debut follows the disclosure and patching of a critical flaw in Zcash’s shielded transaction system, which developers addressed prior to the listing.

Grayscale cited Zcash’s maturity, privacy features, and growing investor demand for assets beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum as key factors in the timing of the launch. The ETF tracks the price of ZEC through brokerage accounts, offering a regulated alternative to direct cryptocurrency ownership.
