BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure (AIB) announced plans to repurpose former Bitcoin mining sites into AI and high-performance computing data centers. The company has secured 65 megawatts of contracted power, with an additional 140 MW under development and 570 MW of total identified capacity.

AIB emphasized a “power first” strategy, prioritizing executed energy service agreements over speculative interconnection timelines. The company targets mid-market sites ranging from 50 MW to 150 MW, aiming for a nine- to 10-month delivery schedule using modular construction and pre-powered land.

Executives noted that data-center power demand is outpacing grid expansion, with interconnection queues in major markets extending five to six years. Facilities will feature 150 kilowatts per rack, liquid cooling, and N+1 redundancy to support AI workloads.
