Net inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $517.2 million Wednesday, lifting August totals to $1.47 billion amid crypto rally.
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $517.2 million in net inflows on Wednesday, the largest single-day total since May 4. The surge pushed August net inflows to $1.47 billion, with over $1 billion added since Monday alone.
The week’s inflows mark the strongest since mid-January, when funds attracted $1.42 billion. Bitcoin traded near $72,000 Thursday, up 11% in 24 hours, while Ether climbed 19% to $2,286. Spot Ether ETFs logged $189.2 million in net inflows Wednesday.
The rally followed a US Treasury decision to expand buybacks of longer-dated debt, which weighed on yields and the dollar. Analysts noted Bitcoin moved in tandem with gold and silver, signaling a debasement trade rather than risk-on sentiment.
