Mitsubishi Electric (MIELY) will purchase PCI Energy Solutions, a U.S.-based provider of enterprise software for energy management, for $1.4 billion. The acquisition includes 100% of PCI’s equity interests under an agreement finalized on August 20, 2026.
PCI specializes in software solutions for energy optimization and grid management, a segment Mitsubishi Electric has targeted for growth. The deal follows a series of smaller acquisitions in the energy tech space but stands as the company’s largest to date in this sector.
