U.S. President Donald Trump stated that CFTC Chairman Michael S. Selig is working to introduce Hyperliquid, a cryptocurrency platform, into the United States in full legal compliance. The announcement was made during a White House event with technology leaders on August 19.

Trump highlighted Selig’s prior authorization of the first Bitcoin perpetual futures contract on a CFTC-registered exchange in May. Selig later outlined regulatory advancements, including the codification of the GENIUS Act, establishment of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, and clarification of crypto asset classifications.

The move signals a push to integrate crypto trading platforms into U.S. markets while adhering to existing financial regulations.
