Integration with Hyperliquid enables eligible users to trade over 290 crypto, stock, and commodity perpetual futures markets.
Coinbase has introduced leveraged perpetual futures trading on its Base App, offering eligible users up to 50x leverage through a partnership with Hyperliquid. The move targets power users, who have prioritized derivatives as a key feature, with perpetual futures accounting for approximately 75% of all crypto trading volume.
The integration provides access to more than 290 perpetual futures markets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, stocks, and commodities. Perpetual futures allow traders to speculate on price movements without owning the underlying asset and do not expire, unlike traditional futures contracts.
Coinbase cited strong demand from its most active users, who have pushed for advanced trading tools to increase engagement. The shift aligns with Base’s evolving focus from social features to trading, payments, and AI-driven applications.
