Israel’s largest crypto broker discloses exposure of personal data but confirms no funds or private keys were compromised in the attack.

Israel-based cryptocurrency broker Bits of Gold disclosed a data breach affecting approximately 200,000 customers, exposing personal information such as names, national ID numbers, and bank account details. The company stated the breach occurred via a third-party data analytics provider and was part of a broader global attack targeting crypto firms.

The stolen data includes emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, and public wallet addresses but excludes funds, private keys, passwords, or scanned identification documents. Bits of Gold confirmed it severed access to the compromised system upon detecting the incident. Recent breaches at SafePal and Trezor were similarly linked to vulnerabilities in external vendors.

No immediate market reaction was reported, though the incident highlights growing cybersecurity risks in the cryptocurrency sector.
