Microsoft’s fiscal Q4 earnings drove an 18% weekly stock gain as Azure’s annual revenue topped $100 billion for the first time.
Microsoft shares jumped 18% in a week following fiscal fourth-quarter earnings, reversing a year-long decline for the $3 trillion company. The rally was fueled by Azure’s 43% revenue growth, surpassing $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time.
Quarterly revenue rose 18% year-over-year to $90 billion, while net income climbed 31%. CEO Satya Nadella highlighted strong demand for Microsoft 365 Copilot, which now has 30 million paid seats, signaling enterprise adoption of AI tools.
The results eased investor concerns about AI infrastructure spending, with Nadella noting that AI demand continues to outpace supply despite heavy investments in data centers.
