Berkshire Hathaway increased its Alphabet position by 83% in Q2, making it a top three equity holding.
Berkshire Hathaway expanded its Alphabet stake to 106 million shares worth $37.9 billion at June’s end, an 83% quarterly increase. The move elevates Alphabet to Berkshire’s third-largest U.S.-listed equity holding, trailing only Apple and American Express.
The surge follows a $10 billion private placement in early June, funding Alphabet’s AI infrastructure expansion. Berkshire also raised its Delta Air Lines position by 44% to 57.3 million shares, valued at $5.4 billion, and increased exposure to homebuilders Lennar and D.R. Horton.
The conglomerate shifted to net equity buying after a prolonged selling streak, signaling renewed confidence in select sectors.
