Truss, a tax workflow platform provider, has formed a partnership with Verito, a private cloud hosting company, to broaden hosting and software options for tax and accounting practices.

Under the agreement, firms already using Verito’s private, dedicated servers can add Truss alongside their existing applications, rather than replacing current systems

The integration streamlines internal operations and client touchpoints, according to the companies. Key improvements include organised document intake instead of fragmented inbox delivery, standardised workpapers delivered in the correct tax return order, and unified client actions allowing simultaneous signing and payment. Truss CEO Dan Pinkous said: “Partnering with Verito is a huge step forward for the firms we both serve. “This is the kind of innovation that empowers firms to spend less time managing technology and more time delivering value to clients.” The firms said that the existing tax software configurations remain completely unchanged.

Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries, ProSystem fx, and QuickBooks will continue operating uninterrupted in their current secure environments. The partnership is also aimed at practices that want to implement Truss while moving away from legacy hosting arrangements that come with “ecosystem lock-in”. These firms can shift to Verito’s hosting, which is described as being “built for tax and accounting workloads.” Verito co-founder and CEO Jatin Narang said: “Our clients keep asking the same question: how do we get the benefits of automation without tearing out what already works? “This partnership is our answer.
