Bank Leumi, Israel’s largest bank, will introduce cryptocurrency trading for its customers in early 2027. The service will allow clients to buy, hold, and sell bitcoin, ether, and solana via the Leumi Trade app, marking the first such offering by an Israeli bank.

Galaxy Digital will provide the trading and custody infrastructure through its GalaxyOne Institutional platform. The partnership includes the use of Galaxy’s custody solution, formerly known as GK8. Bank Leumi’s move aligns with a broader trend of financial institutions integrating digital assets into regulated banking platforms.

Maya Ravia, Leumi’s head of strategy, stated that digital assets are becoming a core part of the global financial system. The bank aims to offer a regulated alternative to standalone crypto exchanges, targeting clients who prefer institutional interfaces.
