Silver prices climbed 0.48% to $64.76 per troy ounce on Friday, recovering slightly from Thursday’s $64.45 close. The move coincided with a dip in the Gold/Silver ratio to 67.22 from 67.50, signaling relative strength in silver.

Despite the daily gain, silver has fallen 8.90% since the start of the year. The metal’s performance is influenced by factors including USD strength, interest rates, and safe-haven demand, though it remains less sensitive than gold to macroeconomic shifts.

Traders often use silver to diversify portfolios or hedge against inflation, with investment demand and mining supply also playing key roles in price movements.
