Ethereum staking platform Ether.fi introduces tokenized assets, fiat accounts, and portfolio-backed loans for global users.
Ether.fi, a decentralized finance platform on Ethereum, launched tokenized asset trading and portfolio-backed loans, allowing users to borrow against holdings without selling. The service integrates with Aave on Optimism, an Ethereum scaling network, enabling lending and spending of proceeds globally.
The platform now supports over 30 currencies and payment methods for fiat accounts, though tokenized stocks and metals remain unavailable to U.S. users. Existing assets include Ethereum, Bitcoin, Hyperliqud, and Ether.fi’s native token, ETHFI. The company plans to expand collateral options rapidly.
Ether.fi reports over 500,000 members and $2 billion in annual transaction volume. New features include automated ETHFI buybacks and 3% cash back on card purchases for verified users.
