Heavy exposure to Alphabet’s capital-intensive AI shift contributed to a 1.45% June loss for the fund, underperforming broader markets.

Alpha Wealth Fund’s Insiders Fund declined 1.45% in June, trailing the S&P 500’s 0.95% drop, as a near-30% stake in Alphabet (GOOG) weighed on performance. The fund rose 8.43% in Q2 2026 and 0.75% year-to-date, lagging the S&P 500’s 15.2% quarterly gain and 9.98% YTD return.

Alphabet’s shift from cash generation to heavy AI infrastructure spending, including a stock offering to fund data centers, pressured returns. The fund also sold AI semiconductor stocks like AMD and Intel prematurely, further eroding gains. Alphabet closed at $342.37 on August 12, 2026, with a $4.19 trillion market cap.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 posted their strongest quarter in six years, highlighting the fund’s relative underperformance amid broader market strength.
