Deal expands Goldman’s ETF assets to $130 billion and strengthens its position in active options-based income strategies.
Goldman Sachs agreed to acquire NEOS Investments, an options-based income ETF provider, for up to $2.25 billion in cash and equity. The transaction aims to bolster Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s ETF offerings, adding $30 billion in assets under management.
NEOS, founded in 2022, manages 19 ETFs focused on options-based income strategies. The acquisition will elevate Goldman’s total ETF assets to approximately $130 billion, positioning it among the top eight active ETF managers.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, pending regulatory approval. NEOS co-founders Troy Cates and Garrett Paolella will join Goldman as partners, along with the firm’s broader workforce.
