EToro’s crypto trading swung to a $7.2 million loss in Q2 2026 as revenue dropped 29% year-over-year to $1.35 billion.
EToro reported a $7.2 million loss in crypto trading for the second quarter of 2026, reversing a $37.7 million profit from the same period last year. The company’s cryptoasset revenue fell 29% to $1.35 billion, while costs matched revenue, resulting in the loss.
Overall net contribution rose 9% to $229 million, and funded accounts increased 18% to 4.28 million. However, crypto activity declined sharply, with July trades down 73% year-over-year and average trade size halving to $182.
Despite beating adjusted diluted EPS estimates at $0.68 versus $0.61, EToro shares fell 11% as the company expanded into onchain products and agreed to acquire U.S. brokerage TradeZero for up to $231 million.
