The payments firm expands its global cash-to-crypto service to Solana, targeting faster and lower-cost transactions for developers and users.
MoneyGram has integrated its crypto on- and off-ramp service with the Solana blockchain, allowing users to convert between digital assets and physical cash. The service, MoneyGram Ramps, leverages the company’s network of nearly half a million retail locations worldwide, serving over 60 million customers.
Solana, known for its high-speed and low-cost transactions, is a leading blockchain for payments, trading, and stablecoins. MoneyGram Ramps operates as an API, enabling developers to embed cash-to-crypto features into apps without handling regulatory complexities or building banking infrastructure.
The tool supports cash deposits in 25 countries and withdrawals in 170 countries and territories. It is also embedded in Solana’s Developer Platform, simplifying integration for app builders.
