Aecom reported a $0.50 per share loss in Q3 2026 despite revenue surging 80% above expectations to $3.6 billion.
Aecom (NYSE: ACM) stock fell 5.5% Tuesday after reporting a $0.50 per share loss for fiscal Q3 2026, missing analysts’ $1.51 earnings forecast. Revenue reached $3.6 billion, 80% above the $2 billion consensus, but declined 14% year over year.
The company attributed the loss to a $337 million pre-tax charge tied to a 2019 construction project, which management said stemmed from outdated risk policies. Free cash flow dropped 79% to $55 million, while GAAP results showed a deeper $0.65 per share loss.
Aecom stated the charge is unlikely to recur, as it reflects terms no longer accepted under revised risk policies.
